What We Do
The Tri-Cities Immigrant Coalition is a non-partisan community-based group working to build trust and understanding within our community about immigration issues through community education, engagement, advocacy, and immigrant support.
Education
- Provide presentations and workshops on immigrant and immigration topics to service clubs, schools, churches and community groups. Please contact us to arrange for a speaker for your group.
- Provide “Know Your Rights Training” as guaranteed by the United States Constitution to individuals, organizations and businesses.
- Organize community forums where professionals and immigrants can present the facts on immigration topics.
- Provide an information table at community and school events.
Engagement
- Network with other nonprofits, community group, and local and state government officials.
- Host public events such as immigrant art shows, film documentaries and guest speakers to bring people together from all over the community.
- Network with other community organizations working with immigration issues.
Advocacy
- Meet with and communicate with our elected and appointed officials at the local, state and national levels to advocate for policies and laws that support immigrants.
- Write opinion editorials and letters to the editor to keep our community informed about the needs of immigrants and immigration reform.
Support
- Volunteer on statewide Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN) Hot line (1-844-724-3737)
- Participate with other organizations in providing fiscal emergency support to Immigrants affected by COVID-19.
