COVID-19 has put a pause on TCIC interactive in person work. COVID has also disproportionately impacted those individuals in our Tri-Cities community who did not receive federal stimulus checks from the CARES Act. The Tri-Cities Immigrant Coalition (TCIC) along with the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN), and Planned Parenthood and other community volunteers have formed a partnership to help those affected by the pandemic.  Our project is the Tri-Cities Mutual Aid Network. This is a time of crisis for our community. People affected by the virus need help with rent, utilities, food, and health costs. They have lost their jobs, lost hours at work, gotten the virus or are taking care of family members who are ill as a result of the pandemic. The Mutual Aid Fund provides cash assistance of between $150 and $500 to help these individuals and families, mostly women and children, with their basic needs of food, shelter, and medical expenses. The Mutual Aid Fund is making a big difference to our community. To make a donation write your check to Tri-Cities Immigrant Coalition with Mutual Aid Fund written on the memo line.
