- False information about immigration enforcement and border patrol sightings can create unnecessary panic in immigrant communities. If you believe you see ICE or CBP officers, ask yourself the following questions before making a report/posting on Social Media:
- What agency are they from? Are there logos or names on their uniforms or vehicles?
- What are they wearing? What vehicles are present?
- Are they stopping and questioning people? Is anyone being detained?
- What are they doing? If you feel safe, can you approach and ask them why they are there?
- Remember – you have the legal right to film the police and/or Immigration officers if they are in a public place and if the filming does not impede the performance of their duties.

Safety Plan for Youth and Children from Legal Counsel for Youth and Children: (ENGLISH)
- The Immigrant Safety Plan document is a collective community resource to help parents plan for the care of their child(ren) (with or without status) in the event that a parent is unable to care for their child, particularly if the parent is detained or deported.

This is the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN) statewide hotline. Please use this number to report Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids or other activity, to report the detention of a group or individual, to obtain information or referral assistance for relatives/friends who have been detained, to access Know Your Rights information, or to seek other help or ask questions. The hotline is staffed by volunteers from 6a-6p Monday through Friday.

DACA Scholarship Overview
Application process:
Send a paragraph to TCIC expressing the applicant’s need for assistance with the fee to reapply for DACA status. Once that paragraph is received, the applicant will provide the
following:
1. A copy of the EAD card with the ID# blocked out for (confidentiality)
2. A copy of the completed application without the EAD number
3. The full name of the department to which the check is to be made out, including the
address of the department to which it is to be sent.
4. The applicant’s phone number in case there are questions.
5. The mailing address of the applicant.
6. The application information will be reviewed by the DACA Scholarship committee,
which will decide whether to make an award or not and determine the amount of
the award.
7. For those approved, the check and a receipt for the applicant to fill out and return inthe stamped envelope to TCIC. For quicker turnaround times, a member of the
Steering Committee may meet up with the applicant in person to hand over the
check and receipt for the applicant to fill out.

It outlines what to know and expect if ICE comes to your house, as well as what your legal rights are in that situation. It is available below in Spanish and English, and a shorter flier offering an overview of the booklet has been been translated into multiple languages including French, Punjabi, Arabic, Mandarin, Korean, Tagalog, and more – and is available at this link.
